wow, jacob. this is incredible. you have improved so much over the last year. sorry it took me so long to comment on this one. i love your sense of light here, it really captures the expression on his face well, i also love the texture of the fabric, and (i don't know if this will make sense or not) the texture of the air, it really feels like an older photograph. you know, that sense of graininess from older film? this is just gorgeous.

Thank you so much.. something really changed in me this year.. I made this decision that I was going to do whatever it takes to out do myself.. I can only hope that 2008 will bring me to an even higher level of satisfaction.. Now if I can just take what I've learned and apply it to my color work I'll be even happier.. Lol... Well i picked "The Gnome" for the description of the teaser because I knew that only a true fan would pick up on the lyrics.. Most people who love Floyd don't know the pre golden era recordings.. "The Gnome" came off of "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" which I personally think is Syd's best work and it also happens to be Floyd's Debut album..

By the way, the songs by Pink Floyd I've heard didn't attract to me at all, and they really made me wonder what there is to like about Pink Floyd. What makes them so special?

Wow were do I start.. To be honest I really disliked pink floyd myself up until a few years ago.. I trulely didn't understand them.. Then I looked deeper into the metaphors and realized that I had really been all wrong.. My suggestion would be to start with "The Wall".. Listen from beginning to end.. Heck rent the movie and then read about it when your done.. I can almost guarantee that your outlook will differ afterwards.. The band is so good that you often wonder where the orchestra is.. They carefully move you from song to song while managing to tell a story.. Im telling they have accomplished music magic..

I really tried to get mentally involved to the fullest with this project.. I went and saw the Australian Pink Floyd a few weeks back.. The show was so amazing that I studied pretty much everything that I could about Pink Floyd. I then went back and listened to every album and watched "The Wall".. From the begining and the the end of this project I realized that it was all about Syd.. Without Syd the idea of this genre would have never formulated.. Even after he left his dream was still deeply embeded.. "Wish You Were Hear" was about Syd and that entire album was dedicated to Syd. I felt that it was just too appropriate for the name of this piece.. Anyways im rambling so thank you if you've actually read this entire paragraph and thank you for the fine comment.
