Description
The United States is a federal republic formed after gaining it's independence from the British Empire and since then expanded beyond it's shores from North American mainland to the Caribbean to Central Africa, Asia and most recently, the middle east, it consist of 90 states, with it's 90th being afghanistan a few years after it became a commonwealth after the Soviet Union invaded at the end of the US-Soviet Cold War

The US's expansion began during the Revolution when they conquered quebec from the British and after the War of 1812 , all of Canada and then Mexico and it's southern territories finally uniting all of America however the Civil War was actually known as the Civil Conflict due to the fact it only lasted 8 months thanks to Union General Robert E. Lee, (interesting to note there was no 2/3 citizenship act instead Africans-Americans, slave or free, were given full citizenship which led to a influx of free slaves in the north and in the Liberian colony) Lincoln then passed laws giving Africans the right to vote and were aloud in the military, he also expanded colonies in Africa in a race against European powers and when at the end of Robert E. Lee's Presidency (yes that happened) US had requisitioned territory's (soon to be states) in Africa, and when the Spanish-American war ended as a victory for the US, they gained modern day state of the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. After WW1 where the US also took some territory from the German Empire creating the American Wall(metaphoric) in Africa the US began an onward strive to greatness while also ending the great depression in 1934. During WW2, the US was leaning towards Ally but not official until the Attack on Pearl Harbor making the US full ally and was the main reason the western allies won while also defeated the Japanese empire with the atomic bombs, and Japan and Taiwan became part of the US commonwealth and which they also bought Greenland from Denmark and other British and French territories in the Caribbean and Latin America. During the Korean War, South Korea conquered the North creating a united Korea creating stress for the PRC which at the time conquered south east asia, skip ahead after America gets a man on the moon, towards the end of the cold war after the US helps Afghanistan indirectly against the USSR, and Afghanistan becomes a commonwealth of the USA and the death of the USSR and no conflicts (yes no Gulf War) played out as a new Golden Age for the USA, making it soul superpower, and with a new pact between the European Federation and the South American Commonwealth created a stronger free-world until the Russian Federation agreement with China created more tensions eventually leading..........to war.

BTW I know Hawaii and Guam aren't shown, they are still apart of the US as mentioned with Pearl Harbor
also if someone can give me in square km the extent of the USA (American Empire as it's also known as) in comparison of the British Empire in our world thanks
