Description Gloon appeared in Lovecrafts story 'The Temple' and is described as a slug-like abomination, that also takes the form of a Dionysian statue. I split the difference. Dionysus in particular is the God of wine, so I thought adding grape vines was appropriate.

A lot of your "gods" I never heard of, and hope never to.
I walked away from new stories in the mythos years ago, convinced that it had become fan-fiction.
I just read the old tales .

A RPG in Chaosium's CTHULHU NOW, based on Lovecraft"The Temple", gives instructions on playing this game where you must prevent the death of a relative snared by one of the statues of Gloon and to exorcise him from his underwater temple.

Is that an arm-cannon?

No just a pillar and some rocks formed into an arm.

The pillar is the shoulder and bicep, the rocks are the elbow, forearm, and hand.
