Description I saw this woman, the day before our last day in Turkey, in an airport. She looked like she was saying goodbye to her grandson, who kissed her hands and cheeks before boarding. She had tattoos on her face…she wore green robes and a leather belt over her chest, and topped it off with a wool woven vest that touched the ground and had red details embroidered into it.
Turkey was awesome.

Nice portrait. She is absolutely from south eastern of Turkey. May be from Urfa with her purple scarf. Turkish respect is a tradition, to all kind of people , culture, religion in their land. We can see thousands years old cultures here in Anatolia. It's very inspirational. Thanks. : )

Yeah, I have a pretty good memory, though I took some liberties with a few things like the darkness of her tattoos, they were a little more faint, ect. little things like that

Yeah, we all can see how pretty good your memory is+)))). I just wondered how you manage to memorize faces. Well, we don't know the portrayed woman so there is no difference for viwers if the tatoos are exactly the same. In Russian art universities they teach us not to make an exact copy of reality by drawing or painting what you see but to paint impression of what see. So according to this conception you did all in a right way. And I forgot to say, so i say it now. Rly good and clever painting you've made here+)
