Description Everyone keeps telling me that after my PhD I have to do a PostDoc. Well, whatever! Here it is, PostDog! Done! ..... Can I have a real job now?

(Sorry, I just had to rant about it. And sorry for the bad pun. That is actually how I ended up with this idea. Now, close to finishing my PhD I am more and more concerned about what to do next. And PostDoc comes up a lot.... I would have preferred PostDog though...)

Need Help from you guys! Can you post wether original image is good and the one in stash is too blueish or the one in stash is okay for you and the original is too redish? I am struggling with monitor calibration issues.
Here is the stashΒ

Ah, kudos to you for almost completing your PhD!

I don't think it's a bad pun at all, but then I'm not a very pun-ny person.

As for your query, there is a marked difference between the two, the red vs. blue. Quick initial thought, after looking at the blue one in Sta.sh, I thought the original too red. That said, it depends on the atmosphere/mood/tone you're going for. The one you have here (original) reflects an Autumn feel that goes well with the leaves. There is warmth here - as another person has said, it feels like sunset.

The one in Sta.sh is more appropriate on a "complementary" level with the way the blue contrasts with the yellow. That kind of blue reminds me of concrete, and there is a more sober/solitary, almost dark atmosphere with the way it feels cooler, more serious/strict, etc.

In contrast, the original captures the dog's expression - that of brightness, openness, and perhaps speaking of something more lazy/relaxed.

On an aesthetic level, the one in Sta.sh may be "better", just because the colors complement each other effectively, whereas the red in the original jars a bit with the yellow. That said, I think the original works with the atmosphere, dog's expression, etc.

For my part, I think you've portrayed the concept very well. I really like the way the hand comes out from an angle, and how things aren't precisely aligned, but more off-center. The way the letter reaches towards the middle, along with the mouth, reinforces the pun, and the meeting of two separate concepts (in more ways than one).

Hi! I think the original is reddish. It looks like the evening light, when the sun sets.
But in any case, the picture is cute!
