"I sure hope this horse lives up to his name," Jacquelyn said as she she sat on the back of Happy Go Lucky. The day with grim but it was her favorite kind of weather, with grey skies and rain. But today would be challenging, as it would make the course she was about to gallop through would be almost all mud.

Ashlynn, Meredith and Inez stood nearby, watching as the horses launched into a gallop as their times started at the beginning of the course.
"Well it doesn't hurt to have a little more luck with you when the course is like this." Inez gave a short smile and zipped up her stable jacket.

When it was Jacquelyn's time to go, Happy stood strangely calm looked around at the birds and spectators. She nudged her heels to his sides and he took of at a brisk gallop, the cold air rushing past them. The mud sucked at Happy's hooves with every stride and it already had started to cover his legs. He hardly seemed to notice as they neared the first jump, a stone wall. The stallion tucked his legs neatly and landed with a splash. He recovered in a few strides and looked towards the next jump.

Suddenly, his legs slid and his stride faltered. Jacquelyn's heart beat fast with fear but Happy managed to pick up a gallop again within a stride and they headed towards the next jump. This would definitely be a challenge, but with a little luck, she was sure they could make it.

I spent soo long on this, it seemed like forever but I finally finished it! It was a ton of fun to make, and it had my favorite weather in it!

Happy Go Lucky ridden by Jacquelyn Kenseth at the Brighthelm Summer Bonanza . Cross your fingers that they do well!
