I can make it through the outlines just fine. It's the SHADING that drives me insane. The constant going over and over is a sensory overload. I'm going through laser removal on a tattoo on my ankle and that's easier than than going through heavy shading. *cringe*

At my first laser appointment they were putting this numbing stuff that did NOT feel like it worked in the slightest. That sucked. It was like being stabbed with 1000 needles all in the same spot. the last time I went he used ice in a glove and made it crazy cold. Then used the laser and I hardly felt anything. It was still uncomfortable but a huge improvement over my last appointments. I don't mind it so much now. It's a pretty large tattoo to begin with so covering it wasn't really an option since that would make it bigger = harder to hide for a teacher/Girl Scout summer camp worker.
The line work for me is over quick-snap. I wish I could stand the coloring better because I

Wow that does sounds like a lot of pain and just no fun! I hope it can get easier and better! How is it going now? Sorry so late to reply! Ya know nowadays I wonder if a full sleeve is more acceptable for people in your line of work. I hope you can one day get the full sleeve you want!!!

It's not so bad once it's over and it lasts less then a minute so it isn't never ending torture. It goes quickly enough. It's going well, but I've let it go for the time being. With things the way they are it was too expensive. I don't want to cover it, I just want it to go away, and laser removal is effective. It's just a long process.
