Description "The Flight of Dragons" was a straight-to-TV animated feature from Rankin/Bass with plenty of the old talent and some surprising casting choices: John Ritter, James Earl Jones and Harry Morgan.

Hearing that Harry Morgan had died 12-7-2011, I overcame some hesitation and branched out to draw his alter ego, Carolinus, the Green Wizard.

With his mixed Semitic symbols and his very suggestive schnoz, Carolinus is a strange sight. His introduction shows him riding a fat, blimp-like dragon--they are filled with gas, it seems.

For all that, he has a very cute daughter who also deserves some Fan Art.

I love this movie. Big part of my childhood. Nice job on Carolinus. I hope you do get around to some Princess Melisande fan art as well.

A. Heh, I remember that movie. And I still have an old taping of its airing on VHS. Those sandmurk creatures used to scared me when I was young.
B. Yeah, I miss Harry Morgan, too. I also liked him on M.A.S.H..
