Description

I played the original Final Fantasy 7 back when I was a teen (yes I know, I'm old) and I'm afraid the characters in the remake don't live up to the memory I had of them (except for Barret, who is every bit as stereotyped as I remember him alas). I especially prefer the original version of Aerith to the very cute and extra-Japanese Aerith 2.0. The Aerith I remember was a mysterious, independant, introspective and mature young woman who happened to have a mischevious sense of humor and a positive outlook on life, and I'm afraid the remake version of Aerith doesn't live up to that memory.

I don't know why I addded irises to this piece. I guess I've always thought they fit perfectly with the image I have of Aerith - gorgeous, intricate and full of hidden depth.
