Short Description: Alexander the great and Hephaestion and some abstract metaphorical stuff.

Long Description: A drawing inspired by my slight obsession with Alex and Heph's sad story, all feels accumulated one day and this happened. Here they're either (you decide) meeting again, or being torn apart (I prefer the first option). The waves either side have either carried them in to each other or are washing them apart. The other corners represent the black abyss leaking in carrying objects relating to their story (including Alex's sword and signet ring, the scrolls with the Iliad written on them, and others), The objects seen in the tips of both leaks represents their deaths, for Heph it's widely thought it was the choice to eat his last meal while still recovering from fever that caused his sudden death (the bread and grapes) and for Alex the wine that inebriated him in his last few days that if not caused certainly contributed to his death. The swirling roses and rose petals represent their affections and the sad twist, and the petals are done to look like little hearts. The whole picture was given a symmetrical feel to encompass the idea of a life/death divide central to the theme. It took three days to complete and uses ink pen, felt tips and coloured crayon, and was done entirely by hand.

Okay I'm finished, being that pretentious was exhausting but I wanted at least one submission that didn't just say "here's a thing what I did draw" Apologies
