"You know, that's one advantage to having extra arms - I can play with way more toys at once! Almost makes me forget how much the rest of me hurts! Isn't that great?"

Wow, this one was a long time coming. I got Allegra as an adopt a long time ago. I drew her once, then regretfully did very little with her character for a while. This year, however, I found a lot more inspiration for her and now have a much higher level of certainty as to who and what she is. She's proved to be a very fun character to revisit, and I certainly intend to use her more in future (heck, I already have several other pieces sketched out).

I'll save a full bio for whenever I make a proper ref for her, but here's some trivia about her that might interest you in the meantime:

- Allegra's current form is the result of a mutation brought on by a cursed mask that was bestowed on her in her youth. While it granted her deepest desire to put on all the more spectacular performances for her audience, it twisted her body into an unrecognisable and horrifying form, breaking her spirit so as to hinder her from taking the spotlight away from the one that had bestowed the mask upon her. The mask itself has since merged with her head, and is now indistinguishable from her natural flesh.

- The sharp-toothed smile on Allegra's face is a permanent fixture; she's physically incapable of not smiling. As a result her face is in constant pain. While she cannot stop smiling, however, her eyes are able to convey emotion just fine.

- Allegra is obscenely tall, at somewhere between 10 and 11 feet in height from head to toe.

- It's unclear as to exactly how old Allegra is or if she's even an adult. By all accounts her gigantic size would indicate she's somewhere in her adulthood, but she also possesses a child-like fixation on toys and a youthful desire to play. She tends to forget that would-be playmates are more delicate than she is, but is quick to become upset if she accidentally hurts them.

- While she is unintentionally terrifying to most, she and Stephanie Gale are very close friends primarily due to both their mutual love of entertainment and Stephanie's lack of fear of arachnids. The two have been known to perform together in an amusing yet impressive acrobatic double act.

- Allegra can regenerate her limbs almost instantly if she loses them, while the rest of her body does not possess the luxury of such swift healing. In fact if herself or a friend is sufficiently starving, she will readily rip off one of her extra limbs as a meal in itself in the knowledge that she'll grow it back within a minute or so. In reference to how her dismembered limbs actually taste she has said, "It's like a big ol' marrow bone, only a bit easier on the teeth."
