Well, out of the WIPs I posted in my journal, most people seemed eager to see ole Lara finished off, so today when I got too bored of revision, I decided I'd finish her.Unfortunately, I've still not sussed out how to make my scanner get a really decent scan yet, so she doesn't look as good as she does in real life so I did have a play with the contrast... but never mind
I'm still quite happy with how she came outThe background was a bugger, but worth the effort I think
I had some fun with colours I don't normally use too. A lot of those rocks contain a heavy amount of dark blue and the aztec stone monkey things are slightly green tinged from weathering I think. 
There are a couple of mistakes here, and I am aware of most of them, but if you have some constructive crit you'd like to give me, then go right ahead

I'm so jealous about your colouring skills. The colours are so vivid and bright and just pop out! It's amazingly pretty and Lara looks awesome in your style. All the details are great, too

Woah, now this is a GREAT drawing! O_O
I specially like Lara Croft a lot!
The skin tone is perfect, as well as the shadings. I liked the hair a LOT (there you go! The bright areas are perfect, with spaces between them!), as well as the clothes. Very nice work!
Can I give you another piece of advice, for the next drawings?
I liked the background idea, and I specially noticed how you made the grass. A good way of adding perspective and "depth" for your drawing, would be to make the grass leafs smaller AND smaller as the image moves back: that way, you can add like 5x times more little details, to give us the impression that the grass is smaller (thus if itΒ΄s smaller, a LOT more can fit on the far back).
But really, I think you already know that.

Wow! I think you pulled this off really well, I love the jungle background and its details.
I lolled a bit at her long red nails XD
I dont think thats actually anything to critique 8D, except maybe that the lips should be a tad bit smaller and more the the left of her face

I shall take the oppurtunity to indulge you in one now, just keep in mind, my mind might be too stunned by the beauty. <3
Should I admit now I've always had a slight crush on Lara Croft... NO not just because she wore small clothes.
I have to say looking at her, you managed to get her down really well, that sexy slim figure and also made her very toned and fit. I love the anatomy detail on her arms, especially on her upright arm holding the gun, the way you drew out the muscles and veins, makes it look very real indeed. I love the texture of her top too. You're much better at drawing clothes to figures!
The background's amazing too, love for the stone monkey's where would a classic tomb robbery be without them?! 
BUT LARA HAS PWNING SKILLS TO GETS IN ZE TOMBS BETCH! 
I really love how you did the pillar behind her to the left, the way it looks so strong yet so decayed over so many year is really amazing, I can actually picture this little cavern so well in my mind in real life. *_* The way you drew the sun glowing on the grass to her right's a lovely little touch too, perhaps there's a few holes in the cavern's ceiling?

Woah, Becca! This really is amazing. o_o The colouring is so wonderful! I have no idea how you manage to make everything so...full traditionally. My stuff always ends up as a doodle in the centre of a loada white space. xD I need to fix that! *sweatdrop*

I really like your style. Alot. When I had only just met Ruth, she showed me a bookmark you had drawn for her. Then a while later she was on her DA and I could recognised the style of it right away. c: 
I really like the bold lines contrasting with the finer ones, too. c: And the shading, wow! Especially on her top! It looks so soft. c: I want to wear it myself. ;A; *grabby hands*
Her hair is especially nice, too! I absolutely adore how you drew the braids. They look so detailed.<3 o_o *eat*
Hmm if I were to crit something, my only real thing to point out is the neck. O: The anatomy is great! But I would say the shading makes it look like she has.. swollowed a snake or something? Not really sure how to describe it. It looks like two tubes are sort.. buldging up from her throat...if that makes sence. *falls over* Maybe I'm just looking at it weird. xD
I love her girly nails, too! Who says she can't be pretty AND cool? xD
Whooo.. onto the background. This must have taken..forever to do! There's so much detail! *stares* I really like the vines on that pillar. They look so... green. xD And the way you've drawn the grass is spectacular! *oggle*It's great to see how much effort you put into every detail. |:

If it's the bookmark that I think it is, that thing is bloody ancient! I'm suprised (and a little flattered) that Ruth still uses the thing! It really makes me smile when people say they can recognise my style, so thank you ^^
The neck is my biggest irk of this picture, I got a little bit carried away with trying to bring out the muslces and it got a little bit ugly! She could have swallowed anything from a snake to a toaster... but whatever it was it's not good! I'm actually tempted to go back and see if I can fix the neck in photoshop or something.. *ponders* but yes, you're very right it's not right
The background was a lot of fun, it took ages, but it was still fun to get all the textures, so I'm very glad you like it!

Yeah, Ruth said it was old, too. xD She had me oggling it for ages. It was the first piece of traditional art I'd seen in person that had been drawn so well. I'm used to looking at that sort of stuff on my monitor. xD *facepalm*
