**Yawns ~ I'm sleepy.M'kay so anyweiiz, drew this last nite. Finally got the time to take a break from commissions 'cuz my printer broke. Boo Hoo. But hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
Woot!! Second pic with a BG! I'm still trying. Lol.
Uhmmm I kinda just felt like drawing something simple with flowers. I know it didn't turn out that well tho, but I kinda like it.
The hair turned out horribly so yes, I already kno that. And her face got messed up too. Its entirely out of proportion.
The coloring is alright, but I'm not into it much. I just like the color scheme.
And as for the BG, yeah. My randomness basically. I like flowers [but those ones look weird. xD] and I also like the tiles and stuff. Ungh. I have got to work on those.
Haha. But it was sorta fun to draw. ~ ♥
So basically took me around four hours-ish? I think. With my Rose Art colored pencils, pen, ruler. Basics. Tell me what you htink? xD I'd love that. Enjoy!!

Until i realized their art style wasnt teaching me much so i developed my own.

Lol. I think it's always a good idea to start off a lil' based on yur fave artist tho most ppl think it's bad.. I just think it helps you learn to appreciate yur own style later on and helps you develop a base. ^^

Very nice color scheme. Maybe just darker shading would make her pop more. She looks like she just woke up. The background works for her I think. Again it's very shoujo. She does look a little compromising with her hand reaching down behind the frame. Overall a very pretty piece. ^_^

Yeah.. I've been getting a lot of comments lately saying that a lot of my drawings are colored with a very pastel color scheme.. This one I kinda meant to be light tho. ^^

I really like what you did with the background here! The flowers look really cool. And you did this with Rose Art pencils? Nice! I never liked those, but they seem to really work well for you.

M'hmm. They didn't work for me well at first, but when I started to take coloring seriously I found they're pretty good if you get used to them. I'm looking to buy PrismaColors soon tho...

Huh...for me they were always too light, which is why I love prisma color. The colors for that brand are far bolder and more colorful...and more true to the color they say they are. But they're definately worth the price.

yeah. I have a lil' trouble making them bold at times... Thats why most of my pics are very light!!
I've been really interested in them ever since I heard of them. DO recommend any particular set like the twelve or 24 count?
and also if you know of Faber Castell?

Don't get 12. I mean, blending is possible and everything, but it's just not enough colors. At least get the 24. I started with 48 actually, then bought a 72 set (I love them, and believe it or not I actually use the colors).
And yes, I do. I had a friend who had them. They were not a bad brand, but I liked my prismacolor penicls better...they're rather similar.
And don't worry about it! 
Oh, and the one thing is that they're really expensive....art supplies like prismacolor I mean, but I get all of mine off of this website: [link]
I compared the prices with all the usual art stores and this site is wayyyy better, reliable, and often has really good sales and sells supplies cheaper than they usually do.

Oh alright. Thats what I was planning to do, but I wasn't sure if it was best to wait to get a bigger set or start out small. I think I'll try Prismacolors first tho. x3 Everyone has given me good reviews on them so far.

Naw, I mean, start out kinda small, but you don't want to limit yourself either. It's true that tools don't make the artist, but they certainly do help.

Yeah, it's a great site, I got it from some professional artists who use it to order supplies and it has always worked well for me, I've ordered from it like five times now. :3
