I may have gone a little off track for the story...
They're still announcing their relationship to Cassie, but they're also figuring out how to get away with a forbidden child
Does this sound good: They claim that they got a surrogate in place of Crimson, a balance kitter (which Amethyst can confirm, this is how they acquired the crystal). Jewel has bribed Filch to run along with everything, and claims that they were a little low on money but Filch sold them one of the void potion things real cheap. Filch comes in, confirms this, but says that they must have got mixed up with something else that looks similar. Tumble doesn't send Crimson and Jewelseeker to Clawtooth because they did all that was in their power to prevent a forbidden child.
