I can't help but to look though all of your gallery, especially the concepts of Picture This. I love the idea, and I'm already attracted to Mona and Su-Mi, they contrast, and yet look so right together (not to mention very, very cute~).
I would love to know more about these two, as I don't see much of them together in your gallery, but I can definitely identify with Mona, in more ways than one. ;w;
Please, keep up the amazing, inspirational work. Just looking though your gallery alone, has reinspired me.

I just love PT too much. It's so awesome, and (I've realized it's not only me, but) for some people this really helped them find more to themselves than what they already knew. There are so many things I want to say but they're going crazy inside my head I can't narrow it down to one to even start with!
At about the end of 2011, I found out that me and one of my best girl friends actually like each other; I never knew I liked a girl until then (unfortunately for both of us, she had a boyfriend and I just wasn't dating until I got out of HS). But anyways, once I found PT, I just... my heart melted, although your characters aren't real, I could relate so much to them and it has actually made me a little stronger, emotionally and mentally.
I hadn't even heard the term androgynous until I followed you and Ty, and I absolutely love those types of girls. hehe and girls like Mona and Gale too >///<

I love this project and i can't wait to see the whole story. Till now the characters are just impressive and somewhat deep (and i haven't even read a whole lot about them). Personally I'm no that androgynous, but in my teens (15-18) people had the inclination to threat me like a boy because my rowdy, flirty, bold and loud personality and my lack of feminine curves, so I can relate to this kind of girls. Also, i don't know understand how people CAN'T see they're girls... ok, maybe Jay it's a bit too masculine, but what? you can still see the curve of her breast! the same with Sam or Gale! Not every girl was given a curvy, feminine and hourglass figure!
I'm a fan also of how you can mix your styles so well, the way you draw i mean. I have high spectations on how the story will go (specially JxJ, i have troubles imagining that sort of relationship, although it seems interesting so far) and how the story will develop.
I'm a bisexual myself, and anytime I dated or even liked a girl (i had a long term girlfriend also, it was hell for us both at first, but we managed to sort that out), everyone got in rampage or was totally lost and assumed that i had to be a sexually corrupted freak, thinking it was just and immature way to cope up with my looks and personality, so i can... imagine, the inner troubles they will have to sort.
Well, this became a bit too long, but who cares? I LIKE THIS PROJECT AND I'M LOOKING FOWARD TO THE STORIES!!xD That, to summarize i guess....
ps: sorry if you find some... HORRID grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes. English is not my first language (it's german) and i'm not so good at it yet (at least the writing part).

Hey there!
You don't have to say a thing xD And is something you should pride of, the fact your project is this popular and it still in it's preliminaries.
Right now i feel i can relate a lot to Jay (being the sport freak i am and being most of my close friends guys) but in time i'll see what's going on.
When do you think the first chapter of Sam is going to be released? i know it has to be a lot of work, but i still wonder xD
And thank you for complimenting my english. i've studying it for two years and i'm not confident enough yet (being a german/danish girl living in a south american country where EVERYONE talks in spanish tends to hinder the speed i which i can get to actually study, having also troubles with spanish)

I've been spamming Tyshea's gallery with fangirling over PT and I've got some spam to spare. Care for some?
First up, it wasn't until I read the artist's comments on the pic that I realised two artists were drawing the characters. I'm impressed that you guys have matched up your style so well! I also had a great time trying to guess what it said behind each character, then I scrolled down, read the artist's comments and felt silly
Secondly, I can't believe the comments you guys are getting about "are they guys" "too masculine" etc (sorry, I'm not gonna waste my time looking for direct quotes, because really?) Part of the appeal of this project for me is the fact that these characters *aren't* the hyper-feminine protagonists of so much shoujo-ai/yuri nor are they hyper masculine stereotypes. They look like people I've met walking around my city, whether they were gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, or whatever else they like. And I may or may not be in awe of their clothing. So keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what comes of this project
Thirdly, I can't believe my first comment on your work turned into a rant. Sorry about that I'm a lifelong sufferer of Palm-on-Face and Foot-in-Mouth disease and a longterm abuser of emoticons. How you doin'? XP

Omg, please and thank you!
Oh wow! I honestly never thought our styles would work THIS well together- but ever since meeting Ty I've been improving in leaps and bounds, so when we finally started this, it was really quite surprising how well they meshed!
The amount of "chicks look like dudes" comments are thankfully few and far between, but they tend to pop up when we post anything JxJ or Gale related. Alas. We've even gotten a few "I pretend they're guys." comments, which really blows my mind. Believe you me, I can't express how "WHAT?" we get at these. Ty herself is very androgynous, it was like denying something's existence to its' face, really! And I just get all kinds of offended at people managing to still be so black and white. This is almost 2012, people!
As much as I love decent yuri/shoujo-ai, I do realize the problem on DA is that they're expecting yuri/shoujo-ai stereotypes, when what we're actually doing is approaching this from an American LGBT comic PoV- not the fluffy, innocent childhood bliss with pretty moe girls shoujo-ai usually entails. Not many people online are used to the LGBT culture (which did confuse me at first, but I realized I was immersed in it my whole life, so it felt natural to me) So we hope to maybe help rectify that a little bit at a time.
But ANYWHO, I'm extremely pleased to know people get what we're trying to say, hearing you say you see them every day is EXACTLY what I want to hear! My favorite comments are the long thoughtful ones- even if I take a bit to reply (I suffer from slowpoke-syndrome) I always love these the most. I also am a ramble-aholic, and emoticions are my favorite pastime!
I am fantastic, thank you for a wonderful read. Hope you're also well!

Thanks for reading all the way through my comment and posting such a long reply, I love reading what people have to say
A (former) colleague at work once snapped at me "Jesus, you're such a guy, why don't you just turn into a man already?!" I was livid, so I can just imagine how you guys feel when you get the "chicks look like dudes" comments and now I can't stop humming Dude Looks Like A Lady. Clearly their narrow-mindedness in this day and age is a sign of the looming apocalypse
I used to devour a lot of yuri/shoujo ai, but I started to get a bit sour with the overplayed stereotypes and cliches. That's why I'm so excited for this project; even though I already know the planned couples, I have no idea what you're going to do with the characters or the stories you're going to tell. And instead of generic pretty moe-blobs (they have their place, they're just hard to relate to), these characters look like people I know and the sorts of people you'd love to hang out with
"Not many people online are used to the LGBT culture (which did confuse me at first, but I realized I was immersed in it my whole life, so it felt natural to me)" THIS. I wish I could fully express how powerful the wisdom in that statement is. But I can't find words, epic fail x_x
Don't worry about slowpoke syndrome, it's more common than you think (pot? kettle? black? where?) Let's hear it for the ramblers and emoticonaholics! I'm fine, thank you, and I hope you're doing great!

@__@ Forgive me for the super late reply!
But wow, I can't imagine facing a situation like that, I mean... really. Why would people say that? It's so pointless and hypocritical. "You're too manly" "You're too girly", it doesn't matter what gender you are, everything is an insult. Girls being "too girly" and guys being "too manly". There's no happy medium.
Ty and I really do enjoy our yuri/shoujo-ai, and she's admittedly quite good at finding really sweet stories, but even then, the repeated stereotypes and archetypes will start cropping up. I very rarely see a masculine girl in shoujo-ai that isn't just sleek and androgynous. I'm really happy that so many people feel them relatable though, I hope even with our remote secretiveness about their plots, it continues to lure people in. >///<
Oh gosh, wow! It's okay, I completely understand. It basically sums up everything ever. From a heterosexual point of view, homosexual, etc, etc. It's all the same. It's a matter of confusion and what/who you're raised around. Hopefully, with time, things will get better and more open-minded, just like they have in the past.
And I was about to apologize again for my slowpoke reply, but I'll just hush up now at that last part ://|; Thank you for leaving such wonderful thoughtful comments! I'm doing great as well!

...what. Someone said they're not... feminine enough? *blank stare* ...what does that even mean? That just because you said these were all girls' love, that the main couples all have to adhere to some standard of femininity? I love these characters. I've encountered almost all of these kinds of people, and the others seem believable. Real life has gender and sexuality spectrums, not one-or-the-other positions. Why shouldn't your characters be the same?

I-I - eep. o////w////o Omigod, I'm blushing so hard. I'm glad that me commenting can make you so happy! Y-you flatterer
EXACTLY! *flips desk the other way* Artists confusing readers about the characters' genders is one thing if they genuinely lack the artistic ability to differentiate their drawn genders, but your characters are very distinct and unique - any gender-blurring is part and parcel of the characters themselves and is intentional. Yet readers still seem to complain as if it's your fault that the characters aren't part of their 'normal' conceptions of gender. You're not making a comic specifically to appeal to some people's idea of girl love, or for popularity - you're making it to explore different types of couples and the various successes and pitfalls in their relationships (at least that's how it seems to me, sorry for presuming). Anyone who needs to pretend that the characters are men to like it has some growing up to do and is probably not the intended audience in the first place.
Also I am probably going to use the phrase "tits and bits" now. XD

Whew, forgive my painful lateness, but I wanted to reply >://| *STEELY DETERMINATION*
I'm intensely flattered and relieved at your thoughts though ~///~ Seriously. You're so observant and lovely and agfhsgsd. I'm so relieved it feels on-purpose to you- I don't really like the whole "trap" aesthetic people force onto characters, like the moe oc wearing a dress and pink but "IS A BOY ZOMG". It makes for bad stereotypes, and it makes people think that if I draw an androgynous girl, I'm trying to confuse their poor boners and make them mad. ;;; You are right though, they are about the ups and downs in these sorts of relationships. While we touch on topics of gender, sexuality, and discrimination, it doesn't consume the stories, because then they'd lose the relateable factor that we strive for. It's more like life seen through the eyes of characters that fit these repressed minorities, but in a (surprisingly, to many) relatable way. And gosh, I would be so happy to lose watchers in a heartbeat if they were completely blind to the points we're trying to make. We're not doing it to satisfy a fetish, we're doing it to address people who are essentially invisible outside of a small social circle. >:T
Please do use tits and bits. It would make me ridiculously happy. *flops around on floor with*/end tangent
