While England has no official date of creation, since he was born in the Dark Ages, and as such, the date is lost in time. He has never had a need to become independent, and he has never had a major social revolution apart from a half- arsed few years at being a Republic. As such, most of us tend to assume that, since he can't remember it himself, England's chosen his national day as his birthday.

Wouldn't it make more sense to put the saxon flag up instead of the lions?, as if this anthem supposed to represent england, then the sign of the english people is a bit more english then the three lions, which was placed after the norman invasion.
