Description I wish I were so skinny,
So skinny that I’d disappear.
Leave this place and come back a different person,
But still the same,
Forever changed – a body made of fumes.

The skin on the back of my hands,
Transparent like wet tissue paper and just as thin.
The black worm parasites swim underneath ,
How they crawl and slide thru my veins.
Mocking me, still they remain,
No matter how many times I kill them.
Try to drown those bastards with whiskey,
Turn them bloated and purple, bursting at the seams.

Lead weight coins in my pockets,
Poking thru my jeans like the bulge of a broken femur.
Laughable, obscene – to be young is to be sad.

I wanna be so skinny,
Turn sideways and become a shadow,
Dissolve into a memory in the minds of those who hate me the most.
I hope everyone from high school Is dead.

Really like this one,says a lot about peoples treatment of others,think it goes beyond being fat/skinny and reaches anyone plagued with self-loathing too

From being the 'heavy' girl in class I can so relate to that. I had those feelings as well. Very emotional piece I think and well expressed.

this really strikes a chord - i found out recently that one of my closest friends has been diagnosed with anorexia bulimia nervosa and a lot of it really relates to that. well done

Umm, I don't know about the transparent skin and the parasites, but other than that, yes i do wish to be skinny, or at least less fat than i am. Nice poem by the way. Its kind of how i feel at times, though of course, i didn't go to public school, and my brothers and sisters say the jesting was all in fun. yeah right. anyways i'll stop talking and add this to my faves now.
