I love the black dramatic tone of this shot, the dark glow around the face and light of the background, like fading lights, like a beating pulse, as though my heart is beating heavily like a hammer pounding as I gaze. it’s quite sensual effect. I like the angel it’s gives a sense of motion and increases that pulsating feeling. I really like the hair it’s slightly messy wet look, falling over the eyes and down on the shoulders like a water fall. I like the eyes the best though, those dark eyes like wells drawing me into this photo with an almost irresistible power. Lots of nice details, the fine neck and collar bones give a lot of texture to the image. Amazing shot for your first black and white. I love it.

I think you did a really great job in creating your first black and white photograph. The angle gives dynamism, the halo of light effect really worked well in the contrast, and the vignetting fit here. I also really like the way the hair falls and the good eye contact. Good job.
