Yes, the reflection of the bird is very good as of the waves too. I couldn't do it so good, but you.. amazing! Also I like the sky, it's perfect! Good painting don't need every smallest detail to be perfect, it rather needs the spirit which makes me feel like I'm watching the real sky outside and your work has done that with me

I try to vary my technique and subjects as much as possible.
In this painting, I was most happy by the reflections and the waves around the bird ( smew ).
But oil dries appallingly slow to ones joy or chagrin .

My pleasure, Peter~ Working with oils does take time for
the medium to dry, however, mistakes can be taken care of
whereas, with the watercolors, it dries so quickly. I hope
I will begin an oil painting as I don't often paint with oils
as much. It will be from a picture where I used to live
in California

It's of a photo from my Dad. It's part of a tree on top of a hill
that I used to play around....many memories...Peter.... I love
that place. In the distance is Mt. Tamalpias which is a state park
in Marin County, California. Anyhow, I hope to begin the painting
soon.
