A late birthday gift for my big brother. <3 We were raised on TMNT, and he's always liked Leo best. I didn't really develop an appreciation for this character until recently. I always liked him just fine, but I never realized just how relatable he is. I always thought he was too perfect, like Cyclops from X-Men (that's how I always saw him, anyway). The thing is, he's smart and gifted because he has worked himself to the brink of death for the sake of becoming the best person he can be... so he can be the helping hand his brothers need in their darkest hours. He's a lot like my big brother in terms of how hard he is on himself to succeed. He's much stronger than he realizes, and hence the "aura" background.To all my DA friends, I have been in SUCH an art funk. What cured me and allowed me to make this was making myself a standing desk with a bunch of storage boxes. Standing while making art helped me create this in under 2 days. That's a record for me.
Leo's design is based off of Mooncalfe's TMNT comics. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her work!!!! Go give her love.

Thank you! I've come to appreciate Leo a lot more as I've gotten older. He's a good guy with a lot on his shoulders. And Mooncalfe is the best!

I'm the 2nd oldest of 6 kids. I can understand if you felt you had to grow up too fast or be a parent-of-sorts.

I'm not the eldest so-to-speak but all of the older siblings have moved away, so everything has fallen to me now. I think you get used to it over time and it's not so bad these days.

I've met others with a similar number of siblings, and the ones who were (one of) the youngest were often treated as the free babysitter. "We're all going out to eat! Oh, except you. You can stay here a babysit for free." "Feel the love."

I have heard of it being like that but I am fortunate that my family treats everyone as equal. Heh and honestly we never went out for meals that often

Oh my lord, mooncalfe has done the TMNT fandom such justice over the years with her beautiful artwork. Part of me getting back into the fandom was entirely her doing on the quality of the art alone. If she ever starts wetmoon back up again, I'd probably pee my pants a little in excitement.
I think you did an amazing job with this, and it really helps to show off your abilities with both your linework and your shading. I do miss you and your art, Beka, and I'm happy to see that it'll be returning at somepoint soon. Best of luck with the projects, and I'll be waiting here for you, cutie-pie!
