I love these little guys - they are all over my grandmother's flowers and so much fun to watch. I congratulate the artist for a stunningly clear photograph, which shows up the details of the insect and the flower in beautiful detail. I also congratulate the artist for their perseverance in what must have been a difficult picture to catch, for I know for a fact that these particular moths are fast flyers. The lighting is also very well captured. This is altogether a beautiful picture with great clarity and amazing skill in execution, which enhances the site with its presence.

Great photo in all ways!  I have only - fleetingly - seen a couple of these, they are so fast!  Scared me at first, too, thought it was a giant bee or wasp and I was in trouble!  I'm so happy to get the chance to see one so clearly!  Thanks for your perseverance!

This was the first time I had ever seen one and I was thrilled that I had my camera on hand at the moment. They were a fun challenge to photograph. Trying to identify them, since I had no idea initially that they were moths(flying like a hummingbird and zipping around looking like a bumblebee hummingbird cross in the daytime just didn't say "moth"  to me lol), was a bonus adventure.

Hhahahahahha, the first time I ever saw one, I was trying to figure out what sort of bird it was! And when I saw that it was an insect, my mind was blown! We had a bunch where I used to live, and they would build their cocoons all around. Biggest cocoon you'll ever see!

lol, thanks. My complete  ignorance glares out at times. I did TRY to identify it correctly though! and isn't it the thought that counts ? Although I will say the 'hawkbee' first title was some kind of weird DA glitch, because I typed in "bee hawk". (I've got to make sure you know I had the right wrong answer lol). If you do happen to know something about these things, I would LOVE for someone to tell me about the purple bee I have in another photograph. I have never seen purple bees before, and I have had no luck asking around so far. Except one person said it was definitely not a honeybee.
