      Do you remember when you'd come into the boarding toom and wake me up at 11.30pm?  All those years ago, the only complaint I gave was The Look.  We barely talked then: how that has changed.
      Do you remember the day you left us?  How everyone cried: but me.  You complained that it was because I didn't care – you have no idea how upset that made me feel.  Little did you know that it was because my heart knew you would never truely leave me; we will always be best friends.
      Do you remember the new start you envisioned when you left?  You were si excited, two days didnt go past without you raving about how your immediate future would pan out.
      I know you remember the first year and a half of your new start: hell.  How could someone as beautiful as you be trated to the extent you were?
      I am sure you remember the hundreds of hours we have spent talking on the phone.  Those convosations became like a den we constructed: they were our oasis where we supported each other.
      You remember all our holidays together.  Even an afternoon with you is a holiday; the best times of my life.
      As we have joked: 'who needs men when two women can have a friendship like ours (bar the sex)!'  Its true.  You're my best friend, there's not a singke ounce of you I would alter.
      We're the kind of friends that will grow old together.  And yes, I promise that when  we're Grannies we'll play tig around the nursing home on our skooters.
      So, my best friend: the first on my list; this is for you.
      Remember all the amazing memories we've had together?    I know you do.
      Now we can only wait for time to allow us to make so many more.
