Description Here's another of my series of anime, cartoon, video game and OC characters as British historical figures, this time with Chief Inspector Royall Britannias from Layton's Mystery Journey as King George the Second (born around October 30 - November 9, 1683, crowned King of Britain in 1727, died October 25, 1760, aged 76). The eldest son of King George I, grandfather of George III, and the second of the five German Hanover (Georgian) kings, George II was a very bad-tempered and argumentative man who kicked his wig and/or coat around in fits of rage, and was very unpopular with the British people, mainly because he preferred Germany to Britain, although he did win India and Canada for the British Empire after defeating the French in the Seven Years War. George hated his father, George I, for imprisoning his mother, Sophia Dorothea, at Ahlden Castle and forbidding her from seeing him ever again, and after George I's death, George went on to hate his own son, Prince Frederick (George III's father); he once ranted: "Our son is the greatest a**, the greatest liar and the greatest beast in the entire world, and I wish he was out of it!". In 1751, George got his wish when Frederick died after being hit on the head with a cricket ball. George was the last British monarch to fight in battle, having fought against France and Prussia (a German state that is now north-eastern Germany and north-western Poland) in the War of Austrian Succession, as well as the Jacobites (supporters of the exiled Scottish Stuart family, who previously ruled Britain) led by Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie") during the Second Jacobite Rebellion of 1745. However, the last battle he fought in, the Battle of Dettingen in Germany in 1743, wasn't the grand and heroic sight you would imagine it to be; during the battle, his horse was frightened by the noise and smoke of the French muskets and cannon, and threw him off as it fled, leaving him to fight on foot. George also ordered the last ever beheading at the Tower of London (but not in the whole of Britain) in 1747, where he sentenced the 80-year old Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat to death for supporting the Jacobite rebels; during the execution, Lovat threw insults at the spectators, and the stand they were standing on collapsed under their weight and killed 20 of them. In 1760, George died after having a fit on the toilet. He was succeeded by his 23-year old grandson, George III.

Chief Inspector Royall Britannias, Layton's Mystery Journey and Professor Layton belong to Nintendo and Level 5
