I wanted to post my fanart for the Xiao contest in my birthday.
Xiao means a lot to me. i wanted to make justice with his wonderful character and to show my view of him, through this art.
That Although being an yaksha, conqueror of demons, xiao's heart is innocent. He's pure. He never wanted to hurt, he don't want to kill. And most of all, he doesn't want to be alone. Xiao want to learn about the world, move forward and he's appreciate beauty.
I wanted to show how much he changed trough showing two crystal cores, one is blue one is golden. They present Xiao and the traveler. He's floating in the water near wangsu inn, which is his home and shelter, hiding from the world,
like he always did.
But something .. in him reaching out to those crystals.. showing he wants more. He's done being alone. He wants to be happy like those Crystals. Xiao's true form is a bird. How can a bird stay locked inside a cage forever? He doesn't want to be locked, he's sick of his karma, he's ready to fight. But this time, it won't be a invisible fight, with no end.. he won't fight alone. this time, Aether is there with him.
But once again, those are just thoughts.. and crystals are so .. fast. It'll disappear and he'll never see them again.
It's.. late. time to go back to wangsu inn.
