The great tail unfurls, the body ripples with muscle. The Sea Prince is reborn, made whole again with the help of the human host trapped within the sticky hide of its body. Rubbery, gooey skin clings to his body, enlarging it, swelling it with muscle, and filling his mouth with the taste of rubber and the smell of brine. He tugs at the mask over his face, trying to pull it off, but it only stretches without breaking, too strong for his feeble attempts at freedom. The Sea Prince is a second skin the host will never be able to remove. All control is wrenched from the human over his own body as the merman takes over for him. The Sea Prince wriggles its way into the water, never to see shore again for as long as the host lives. His former life is gone now, forfeit to the merman as he becomes an unwilling passenger inside his own body. The Sea Prince is in control, now and forever.
