Description

Finally got something finished this month and it had to be a beach pic depicting characters in swimsuits... oy. I wanted to draw something inspired by the bombing release of Indiana Jones 5 but couldn't get anything off the ground for weeks on end and so when I was stuck on the dead end of an idea, seemingly trapped in artist's block and distracted by other crap, that's when I got another idea. Of another depiction of my Allo Rachel playing volleyball, only this time with her boyfriend/fiance/husband Willy Kessler, a character I haven't drawn in six years. Kind of weird going back to the Barsi characters after all of this time, especially since originally I had put them in a separate universe from my other drawings and writings, so they had lived in a normal America that's like OTL but with scalies as opposed to the weird ideas I had for APW America (like the different states, the ruling of kings descended from Prince Augustus of Prussia, no Federal Reserve, the USA allying with Imperial Germany against the UK and CSA, and Donal Trump winning as the Progressive Party candidate in the 2000 Presidential Election against the incumbent Alan Keyes, Constitutionalist Pat Buchanan, Republican Harry Browne, Socialist Eric Chester, Prohibitionist Earl Dodge, and independent Bob Smith). Anywho, after searching for the right pose for Rachel, the hard part was finding a good reference for what Willy's would be.

Their expressions and poses here indicate they haven't started their game yet but are about to real soon, whenever Rachel feels it's the moment to spike the ball over to Willy.
