I'd suggest getting an Mplayer gizmo for your DS (if you have one) and downloading it, or importing it, because the American version is going to be Elite Beat Squad, completely without the Japanese music and vital male cheerleader uniforms. ;_;

If you buy the Japanese DS game, it will play on your DS just fine: DS is region free.
The Mplayer attachment allows you to download (many) games without buying them, is the thing.
