WordsThey float in our heads
Like fallen leaves in an Autumn breeze
They come and go at their leisure
Arriving when useless
And absent when needed
As I reach for them
They move away
Like koi in a vast pond
When I gain hold of them
Great things are possible
Be it good or bad
Words are powerful tools
We often overlook
They can bring down and destroy
Yet they can build and heal
Despite the fact that most can speak
Others can’t
They are restricted
Unable to express
Left with words
Swirling in their minds
Unspoken victims
Trapped within themselves
