Description He found me in a darker land
and I discovered his vague heart
sprinkled along a different strand
of time and understanding

He sent to me the smallest of smiles
and I returned a box of laughter
he accepted it all
and so have I

From then on we were one

Be our voices ever drowned
a smile is just enough
to translate what we felt
and what he had

We longed to share reality
a dream of ours, they say
was never meant to happen
and it happened anyway

With disregard for the now
be it two kingdoms tear this twain
we refused all that was morale
and chanced an era of Us
with his kingdom in the sun

Nobility was never their issue
it was the filth beneath my
fingernails, remnants
of my kingdom's earth
that repulsed his subjects
and fissured our losses

The seasons held a fearsome wind
and I had fallen into seclusion
this world did not want me here
it grew jealous of my position
or rather I resent its truths

It wouldn't last much longer
he offered me a hand of hope
bathed in optimal light, and
far beyond his comprehension
or lack of accepting truth
he embraced my claws as I
allowed myself to cry

That simple, vacant glance
was all it took for me
to savor a breath of walk
with him and my Entals
a few hours longer

We twist and turn the gravel road
and choreograph our contract
that of blending our souls
together, hopefully forever
forgetting that our minds
were still in disarray
about the fitful
impossible future

These wishes we mold
with clumsy fingers
are gathering grit
with each new attempt
to remain as one fleeting soul

I'm still waiting for the day
when our kingdoms get along
we will be able to live once more
with our smiles and Caps

Is it too much to request
to send him one last note?
It would be a basic phrase
one that outlasts any feud
and lifts many a heart

I just want him to know
that I believe in him
and what we could have had
