As they ran through the hall, stormtroopers firing frantically at them, she could see an opening ahead of them with what looked like a door. With no idea what was on the other side the pair raced frantically toward it, like wamper rates being forced through a waste pipe. Luke was ahead as they ran through the door and almost met his end as he teetered on the edge of the passageway as it gave way to a massive void which was obvioulsy intended to crossed by a bridge. As she quickly pulled him back his large heavyweight boots missed Leies inprotected bare toes by literally milemeters.

"close the door" Luke cried. "Theres no lock" Leia replied. Luke casually shot the lock. "That ought to hold them"
"Well thats one way I guess" Leia thought to herself,
"Quick find the controlls to extend the bridge" she said
"I think I just blasted them" he replied
Theyre coming through" she cried
As she moved out of Lukes way, a peice of the shattered locking mechanism they had just blasted jarred into her soft unprotected bare foot.
"Ow" she yelped inwardly, but externally all she let out was a breif grimmace. She thought her feet were numb with cold but not quite numb enough to stop that from hurting.
If they got out of this, the first thing she was doing when they got back to base was to put on the thickest boots she could find and only ever take them off for sleeping and showering!
