Soon the bark would finish it's spread over Kevin's body, and the last of his human features would fade away. Kevin knew he should be terrified, but for some reason a feeling of calm washed over him. Being a tree wouldn't be so bad, he told himself. As the roots that were once his feet dug further into the ground he felt a deep connection to nature and the forest. He wasn't sure exactly how he had come to be in this position, nor did it seem all that important anymore. Somehow it felt right, like he belonged there.
