This art was originally created for 10th anniversary of Gladiator, I had an interest in a license with Universal but I've decided to keep it just a one off original piece. Here is a run through on the art...
I planned to keep the art as sepia toned as possible, not pushing black in the pallette at all, but also pushing the colors I felt were necessary for the difference in royalty and non-royalty, (notice the difference between skin tones of Maximus and Commodus.)
Winner of 5 Academy Awards and 7 Oscar Nominations-Gladiator was a masterpiece.

I still believe that Gladiator is a real masterpiece, one of Scott's most dazzling and inspiring pictures, alongside with 'Black Hawk Down'. I really wish that movie posters could be like this again, I mean, hand-crafted, like good ol' times.
