Description
I have dealed with my old Dark Eye charakter Tjalgar Faenwulfson because soon he should be reactivated. So I decidet to draw a bit an to illustrate his Swafnir shield, his indication for being a priest of Swafnir. It is a traditional great round shield common in Thorwal. It is painted in blue with the white sperm whale and wave circle. The inscription is written in old Hjaldingsch runes and tells in my unqualified try of a translation of Thorwalsch language: "In storm and on waves I will protect you". It is part of the oath of Swafnir to his chosen people.
