excellent! so economical and yet suggestive. Reminds me of Mike Hoffman, in that regard. Also, as mentioned, the style has the feel of Buscema's. Do you do your own inking? (You must!)

I'm glad you like it. And I do my own inking. Here's an example: [link]

Thanks for the link. Already occurred to me to browse for the inks, like the Broadside series, but thanks, it was nice of you to do it.

I left a comment on the ink for this link, with due respect and humility. It may not sound that way, since in evaluating what I see I speak directly to the points. Hope you approve.

I approve and appreciate very much your comments.
BTW the Broadsides series are tight pencils, no inks.

Oh! That's right! Now, I remember. Thank you for reminding me! Initially I thought they were inks and was surprised to find they were pencils.

I often make that mistake when viewing the work of professionals. The lines and spots are so even and dark. Looks good enough to go to press! But, isn't it difficult to ink?

Can you see the ink line over such dark pencils?
Do you have to ghost or lighten the pencils before inking them?
(Or are they really light, but darkened on the scanner for the benefit of posting?)

So happy you receive my comments with a gracious spirit!

They are not going to be inked. They were darkened in Photoshop and later they'll be directly colored.
Thanks for your comments again!

This is some really awesome work. It feel like John Buscema's Conan work.
Are you not working professionally in comics?

I'm a semi-professional. Right now I'm working in a series called APAMA The Undiscovered Animal. You can read the first two issues free on line here: [link]
