Description

Master Galineus Galinei (the individual Master-Apothecary depicted above)

The Lazarus Concordance was founded between the First and Second Founding of the Adeptus Astartes chapters. Due to their secret creation, the Concordance worked in secrecy in their chapter's beginning, always avoiding watchful eyes of the Inquisition. When the Imperium became aware of the illegal Founding, there were many eager to condemn the Lazarus Concordance. But while everyone involved in their secret making were persecuted and excecuted, the Chapter was found innocent and uncorrupted. Therefore, they  were given the chance to prove themselves.

It took more than a few Millenia for them to prove their worth. Especially, since none of these Space Marines kill. Their arsenal contains lots of shielding technology, mobile shield emitting tanks, rescue craft and more. Their Equipment is limited to rescuing tools and defensive weapons, too. The 9 Great Power-Swords, given to them at the time of their founding, are kept by the Master-Apothecaries. Some of them carry them in a scabbard, but some ostensibly drag them through the battlefield as a demonstration of their belief.

The Lazarus Concordance constists of 10 Cohorts of each 100 Space Marines. Their First Cohort is entirely made up of veteran Apothecaries, each of them exceeding knowledge and power of the individuals in other chapters claiming that title. The Standard-Marine of the Concordance is called a Medicus. Each of those serves in a squadron, lead by an Apothecary. However, due to the demand for their presence, squadrons split up very often. There are in facts squadrons, that apart from training, never served together. The Lazarus Concordance also has the highest numbr of small space-craft of all Space Marine Chapters.

Before becoming a Medicus, every member of the Lazarus Concordance serves first as a Healophyte in the 10th Cohort. These healers-in-training are lead by Apothecaries who have proven themselves to be good instructors. Squadrons of these do often serve as squadrons and aid either other Space Marine Chapters or the armies of the Astra Militarum.

Each Cohort is led by one of the greatest medical minds in the Chapter. The Lazarus Concordance has 10 Master-Apothecaries:

1st Cohort: Master Nicias Remedrin, First Apothecary and Lord-Advisor
2nd Cohort: Master Laïs Curant, Keeper of the Narthecia
3rd Cohort: Master Valerian Cole, Master of the Banner
4th Cohort: Master Maimon Iatros, Warden of the Gene-Library
5th Cohort: Master Anaphiel Bashir, Master of the Marches
6th Cohort: Master Galineus Galinei, Master of the Fleet (which can be seen above)
7th Cohort: Master Thessaleis Vivis, Master of Sanctity
8th Cohort: Master Merewin Avicien, Master of the Forge
9th Cohort: Master Antyllos Setti, Keeper of Agnodicea
10th Cohort: Master Thaedric Eldrosa, Master-Instructor

Above all stands Grandmaster Ibn Zinan, the Immortal (a by-nam given to him after he survivced 13 shots to his head, all of them still stuck in his skull)

The absolute rejection of all kinds of weapons has been eased and hardened time and again. It is not undisputed. Many inside the Chapter and Imperial institutions think, that more people could be helped, if they would fight, too. Ibn Zinan and others counter that there are some few who actually respect their decision and spared them from time to time. Only a handful in the Chapter's ranks or the Imperium's institution would dare the Lazarus Concordance to give up its primary mission: Aid wounded Humans and Astartes, protect the Gene-Seeds and serve the Emperor.
