They're like the Na'vi, if the Na'vi took the time to learn science and mathematics and started fighting back with their own weapons (Maybe Toruk with a GAU-8A?).

The contrast between the crashed ship and everything else is pretty stark! Really gives the impression of something wrong. Haven't seen this film yet, might try to remedy that at some stage.
