This popped up in my head when I was new in the fandom at first as a joke and now I came to the point I adore the idea of them being together, and then it became even some lolz and cuteness material when talking with my friend who I converted to lol I even drew made them a daughter for fuck's sake ! And also imagine how they would end up together, as I highly doubt they were in the pilot of the show, to me it was obvious they gave 0 fuck about each other back then [long reading ahead] :

Headcanon, as he probably became his own mob boss (he seems so in In like Blunt), he had been caught by Darkwing but the latter had no proof he made very big crimes and all so all he could proof was he participated in drug trafficking so that plus a good lawyer and Hammerhead found himself imprisonned for only one year, it had been 6 months in the comics he was in the big house. Meanwhile, Clovis agreed, since the end of the pilot, to become a dental hygienist like her mom wanted and quickly became one, but was bored as she had a wicked side in her who wanted to be involved in crime, but not as dangerously as she almost died in the pilot which now makes her resent at the idea to be in the crime battlefield but wanting to be involved in it at least undirectly. As, of course, the prison fiasco was everywhere on TV, she briefly recognized Hammerhead, they barely talked back when they still worked for Taurus Bulba but she gets an idea in mind. So she goes to the prison to ask how many months will he still have to rot in prison, pretending to be his childhood friend (I MEAN AFTER ALL HE COULD GET TO HAVE A WALK WITH GOSALYN PRETENDING TO BE A FRIEND IT'S EASY IN THIS UNIVERSE), she is answered he has 6 more months. So she waits.

When he gets out, she is waiting for him much to his surprise, as he recognizes her and also because he sees Hoof and Mouth DARED not to come to pick him up. So she wants to bring him to her place to talk but he wants to go to his place first because he wants to see his house after one year and also YELL AS HELL at them so he drives her car, they arrive, he yells at them, they didn't come because they thought they would be suspected to work together and he goes like "oh. Yes. For once you are intelligent it surprises me- WAIT WHAT WHAT DID YOU DO" "Oh we had 2 months of prison because of a failed robbery" AND HE THROWS A FUCKING TANTRUM AND KNOCKS THEM OUT. So she understands he won't leave so she accepts to talk here in his house, and tells him she knows about his secret (at least secret to the policemen) mob boss life as she got infos from little criminals and she suggests, as after all they had worked for the same boss, to become officially his dental hygienist BUT secretly his secretary who could with her intelligence help, give advice, find infos and plans, etc, and that she knows his secret anyway and could tell it in case of refusal ; so he tries to be threatening but as her emotionless face creeps him out a little and her sometimes silences sometimes snarkiness disturb him, heeeee accepts.
After a failed robbery because he didn't want to listen to her because he still didn't like having her around as she reminded him of Taurus Bulba as he was finally free and could be his own boss she gets annoyed and wonders why he is the boss and why she came to him as she does remember how stupid he were when Bulba abused him, so she wonders if she will leave and go back to only a boring dental hygienist when she meets Steelbeak (who is incognito of course) in the street, and of course she recognizes him, but he too as some agents had seen her around Bulba in the past on villain meetings. Seeing a new occasion she suggests to him her services (minus the threat as she knows who she is talking to), and he is kind of interested, especially when he finds out she is with Hammerhead, who is an old college fiend (Yes I know Chicago is a big town but they both have a Chicago accent so I could not help myself XD once again correct me if it's not an Chicago accent) and he finds a new way to troll him, knowing Clovis is effective he wants to make his old rival enrage once she would have done something awesome as he would see he had missed his chance over Steelbeak. Meanwhile Hammerhead is grumbling to himself why she decided to bother him anyway and why she didn't die in the crash, walking not noticing Hoof violently opens a door that slams on his muzzle and he loses a tooth. So of course he calls her through phone which interrupts her before she could talk more to Steelbeak so she has to go but he still gives a HUUUUUGE test list with multiple choices questions to complete for people who want to be employees (like plumber, janitor or secretary) at FOWL.

She hides it in her purse and goes back to Hammerhead to put the still "living" tooth in his gums. As he sees she came quickly and seems to know how to save his tooth even if it's just because its her cover job, it softens him a bit so even if still grumpy he tries to discuss "...and what kind of favorite music d'ya like ?" "I have no favorite." "Really ? Not even to dance or sing ?" "I don't sing nor dance." "Not even as a serious thing just because it's funny ?" "I don't laugh." "........geez, hun, with all of that, I don't know why you were Bulba's mistress he could have easily dated a sex doll" Of course it offends her because it's true she had become Taurus Bulba's mistress to be sure to have her job security but she wasn’t proud of it and didn't want to do that again, so she PLANTS the tooth in the gum on purpose to hurt him. He yells and wants to be angry but she gives him such a stare he gets as scared as if he had Taurus Bulba in front of him again, so he apologizes, and explains he actually was jealous of her as she did all the perfect job back then like a teacher's egghead, which she answers nodding from time to time back to her neutral self putting products on the tooth, she can understand the concept jealousy but it gives her another motivation to get out of here. Aaaand he blushes and he confesses he was also jealous also because she was Taurus Bulba's mistress and one of the reasons he joined him was because he kind of found him hot even if he would soon stop to think so. Her eyes widen because she completely didn't expect it and didn't know it, then taking back her emotionless look again and giving him a glass of water to wash his mouth she says "Oh you know you should not regret anything" "Why dat ? [drinking]" "He was a disaster in bed" [SPITS OUT]

So for the following days she says nothing, she lets him act as he wants whether it succeeds or not she doesn't care as she secretly plans to leave for FOWL and whenever she can she answers the stupid questions ("If you see a fish in the river, do you eat it ?" [ponders]"depends if it's anthro or not") that are suuuper numerous and as she also has secretary job and dental hygienist job she can complete only 3 or 4 questions a day. After those days one day Hammerhead orders her to go to some place with him to help bring a suitcase full of money to another criminal he owes money to ; she hesitates as she has the crash trauma and truely wants to be involved to crime only from an office to avoid that, and she confesses, but he goes "C'moooooon it won't be long and it's just to give a suitcase, the money's in here there won't be any fight" So she accepts, they go in his car, he sees she is stressful especially as she is holding the suitcase "...want a cigarette ?" "I don't smoke." "I should've expected" "...but thank you." "...yer welcome babes" So it seems to go good, plus introducing her as his secretary to them, but "I am the terror that flaps in the night !" DW and LP are here. A comical fight starts on the docks and she is hiding scared behind a trashcan, Hammerhead throws her a gun but as she is trembling she misses Darkwing Duck so Darkwing knocks out the criminal, and Hammerhead catches her by the waist and they jump in the ocean just in time before he takes care of them. DW wants to jump but Launchpad catches him lol and they have to leave.

The goat and the cow go silently back home, SOAK wet, and have to put robes and sit next to the fireplace. When Hammerhead starts to talk it's to reproach her to have missed her aim and now Darkwing had his money he would give to the police, so they start to argue, then silence again. She sighs maybe she is not made for crime after all, silence again. He sighs and says she had a trauma it's normal he could have perfectly shooted himself but no he threw it at her. She is surprised to hear it from him, and he reminds her he is far from being brave as she saw with Taurus Bulba or when he wanted to take down a military train when it was stopped. When they are a bit warmer and go to their respective rooms he reminds her he will go to Duckburg to meet one of his customers, who is not a criminal (he just doesn't know he buys stuff from a gangster) and asks her if she wants as it's tamer as he would look more credible with a "pretty tomato" to type his notes. She hesitates but ends up to accept.

Next day they go there, His cover up is a business man for a furniture company (and he shows her he actually hides weapons, drugs and money in some of them which amuses her lol), the customer comes and he, with the help of Clovis (who is taking fake notes all along) who knows how to choose words contrary to Hammerhead, coinvinces him to buy those to bring them to the borders (and when he leaves, as if the police came to him he would be arrested and not them, they shake hands satisfied of themself lol), and on the evening when Hammerhead has to go to beat up some guy who didn't pay him back, this time he takes the care to leave her in the apartment (which makes her smile a little) She keeps going with her FOWL test but gets quite bored, and is surprised to see how much she enjoyed the day. When he is back all satisfied with blood on his horns "He will pay me tomorrow" he decides to listen to some swing to make the evening better for himself (I am sure he loves the 30's lol) happily taking a beer and all, then his eye is caught as he sees she is just reading still with her neutral face. So he goes to her "Ok ok ok this not how you celebrate a good business day in Duckburg. Ya gotta dancin', now" "Hammerhead I told you I-" "I know ya don't dance but now ya do !" And drags her by the hand to force her to stand up and he stupidly dances around her as in 'I will not stop until you join' so she slowly starts to move feet and hips, the shoulders, and she ends up to dance swing with him. When it ends, the silliness of the situation, as it ended with them holding each other's waist nose to nose, makes her laugh. It surprises him, and he is genuinely charmed "And you say ya don't laugh ? My leg, that's one cute laugh" which makes her blush embarrassed as she is not used to genuine compliments nor to laugh.
One or 2 months pass. Days get better, now he tries to listen to her, she gives him strategies, she is effective, and she is still good for his tooth, they have good cover ups and there are even days she forgets to keep going with the test. It almost AWAKES THEM from the alcohol, they stare red cheeked at each other but then they shrug and keep kissing. Now she became a boss' mistress again but this time she likes it. And himself went from jealous to dating her. How odd. Some days later again, back to Saint Canard, on an evening, Clovis is on the sofa with the test in her hands, looking at it unsure what to do now, and her recent boyfriend pops out of nowhere "Doin' something hon ?" "UH NOTHING" he is surprised to see she is not serious but alarmed so it makes him curious about that huge paper pile she is holding and she refuses, pretending it's cross words, so when he asks her about her stress she quickly has to pretend, and crashes her lips on his and comes up with "Because I can't take it anymore and want you?" But because of another door she dodges one of the 2 stupid henchmen opened brutally and some cold reproaches she gives them, she doesn't see as she jumped and that she had carelessly put it on the edge of the open purse on the first place it that it fell on the floor, and she leaves. Hammerhead, after having dressed up sees birds and joy everywhere and even HUGS Hoof and Mouth because life is beautiful, but then he finds that curious pile of paper he wondered about. He takes it and opens it, and progressively, his expression goes from curious to angry and hurt. Hoof and Mouth are ready for another hug but he pushes them away "OUT OF MY WAY IDIOTS"

At her work she sees with horror the test is not in the purse, and she panics at the idea of it having fallen down in the house. She abandons the poor patient with his open mouth (legends say he is still waiting) and she goes home, to find her belongings packed up with a letter "I know you want to betray us for FOWL. Never dare to come back or I will rip off your guts the same was you ripped off my heart. Hammerhead" She understands what happened, is shocked, and sits with her head in her hand, with some silent tears running. Meanwhile, heartbroken Hammerhead is on a meeting in which some of his men bring him one who told rival gangs about them, so he is so angry because of his heart pain he FUCKING BREAKS HIS NECK, giving an example of not fucking with him at least for the days to come. Later, meanwhile, Clovis is going back to her former home with her suitcases when she hears some guys at the bus station talking about the police who finally found a way to find that mysterious gang that makes themself look for furniture, and are calling on Gizmoduck (and Darkwing duck who insisted to follow). Her ears twitch and she runs to where the lair is dropping her suitcases on the sidewalk. After they had dropped the body in the ocean, one of Hammerhead's men is talking to him (Hammearhead is only half listening he's too sad) about a painting that could be sold as a copy while it is the original one they stole, when Gizmoduck and Darkwing Duck break through. PANIIIIIC ! Once again a comical fight ensures but all the criminals and Hammerhead too are scared of Gizmoduck (DARKWING DUCK MAAAD) and he panics a bit and drops his gun. He is the last one to remain on his feet... But Clovis comes from behind and uses 2 tasers, one on DW and one that shortcircuits Gizmoduck, and they are are almost dead lol so she drags the goat out. He is furious to see her here and yells at her why she came back and betray him, and she explains him it was not recent , that it was at first when she hated him and there was Steelbeak (WHICH DRIVES HIM EVEN MORE MAD) so they argue for minutes before she realizes he is repeating the same stuff, so she remarks that and he grumpily mumbles "Because whatcha sayin' made sense after some explanations but I don't want to sound as if I was in the wrong ok ?..." She rolls her eyes with a smirk, reassured to see he could believe her, so she tells him she is very happy to be with him and doesn’t want to be on FOWL anymore, she just needs to be here for his gang to make it work better or it would be lost with him alone at its head, she jokes. It softens him up and makes him smirk and stick out his chest "Oh we were good y'know we existed before you, in fact we found a painting-" It starts to burn after one of Gizmoduck's short circuit's spark reached it "...not..." So they awkwardly stand there. "...and now ?" "...I dunno. Did you move out ?" "Oh no it reminds me I abandonned my luggage in the street !" "[HUGE LAUGH] Don't worry babes if some thief came by I'd be delighted to stuff him with bullets" and they rush, meanwhile the 2 superheroes conclude the investigation should go further as they have a mysterious spy whose face they didn't see who has a secret weapon lol

3 years later, Hammerhead (who has a wedding ring) is bored in a cell, laying on a "bed" looking mindlessly at a photo of Clovis in lingerie (he probably has it for the times he is far from her) when a cop opens the door "Ye're lucky, Hammerhead, yer wife paid the caution on time" So he goes out, and Clovis is waiting next to her car, with a wedding ring too, her eternal emotionless look on her face but also a 6-months-pregnancy belly. They kiss, he insists to drive because she is pregnant, then after some minutes on the road he starts to be angry again "Well ya took your time to pay, ya know dat ? One week of waiting ! The trial was in 2 days I would have rotten in a big house again if ya had been late !" "Oh please, I didn't get myself caught after having robbed a can of chili con carne" "For the last time it was Darkwing Duck who put it in my pocket to have me imprisonned with no other pretext !" Next day they go there, His cover up is a business man for a furniture company (and he shows her he actually hides weapons, drugs and money in some of them which amuses her lol), the customer comes and he, with the help of Clovis (who is taking fake notes all along) who knows how to choose words contrary to Hammerhead, coinvinces him to buy those to bring them to the borders (and when he leaves, as if the police came to him he would be arrested and not them, they shake hands satisfied of themself lol), and on the evening when Hammerhead has to go to beat up some guy who didn't pay him back, this time he takes the care to leave her in the apartment (which makes her smile a little) She keeps going with her FOWL test but gets quite bored, and is surprised to see how much she enjoyed the day. When he is back all satisfied with blood on his horns "He will pay me tomorrow" he decides to listen to some swing to make the evening better for himself (I am sure he loves the 30's lol) happily taking a beer and all, then his eye is caught as he sees she is just reading still with her neutral face. So he goes to her "Ok ok ok this not how you celebrate a good business day in Duckburg. Ya gotta dancin', now" "Hammerhead I told you I-" "I know ya don't dance but now ya do !" And drags her by the hand to force her to stand up and he stupidly dances around her as in 'I will not stop until you join' so she slowly starts to move feet and hips, the shoulders, and she ends up to dance swing with him. When it ends, the silliness of the situation, as it ended with them holding each other's waist nose to nose, makes her laugh. It surprises him, and he is genuinely charmed "And you say ya don't laugh ? My leg, that's one cute laugh" which makes her blush embarrassed as she is not used to genuine compliments nor to laugh.
One or 2 months pass. Days get better, now he tries to listen to her, she gives him strategies, she is effective, and she is still good for his tooth, they have good cover ups and there are even days she forgets to keep going with the test. Until some feelings start to appear, he finds her more and more beautiful and she finds him more and more attractive, stuff like "She is not that annoying anymore" and"he is not that stupid after all"

One evening in a Cape Suzette restaurant, as it became usage that she would come with him on fake cover up business travels, on summer so they are dressed a bit lighter, the waiter thinks they are a couple and brings the free champagne. They blush and are both "Hem no no no no no take it back" But too late so as it's free after all they take the bottle with them to the hotel they are in and drink a bit, discussing of the town, of Saint Canard, of Taurus Bulba, of how they hate Darkwing Duck, and about how they will organize themself for the next scam or robbery, but they don't notice they drink more and more so they get a little drunk and he admits she looks like one lovely sweetcakes in that dress and her that he looks good when his forearms are visible, he quite teases with some jokes about her seriousness and says some pet names like tomato or doll or babes and she tries to remain neutral but with the alcohol she has a dizzy grin and sometimes a silly giggle, and the more you know they end up to kiss. It almost AWAKES THEM from the alcohol, they stare red cheeked at each other but then they shrug and keep kissing. Now she became a boss' mistress again but this time she likes it. And himself went from jealous to dating her. How odd. Some days later again, back to Saint Canard, on an evening, Clovis is on the sofa with the test in her hands, looking at it unsure what to do now, and her recent boyfriend pops out of nowhere "Doin' something hon ?" "UH NOTHING" he is surprised to see she is not serious but alarmed so it makes him curious about that huge paper pile she is holding and she refuses, pretending it's cross words, so when he asks her about her stress she quickly has to pretend, and crashes her lips on his and comes up with "Because I can't take it anymore and want you?" Loooooong silence, he is almost jaw dropping and she is red realizing what she said, but a rape face appears on his face "Why doll, ya should've told me earlier, y'know I wanted to be a gentleman and shit but I see I didn't have to~" so he lifts her up to his bedroom, they make out, they strip, and they have sex.

The next morning, Clovis is dressing up because she has to cure one of her patients, reminding him (who is still naked in bed lighting up a cigarette) about his schedule, and before leaving, "Oh I have something that will give you enough energy for the day" "And this is ?" "You are much, much better than Taurus Bulba in bed" and she leave. HE HAS FUCKING WIDE EYES, AND THEN HAS A HUGE GRIN WITH A LIKE A BOSS LOOK LAYING ON HIS BACK WITH ONE HAND BEHIND HIS HEAD AND ONE HOLDING HIS CIGARETTE BETWEEN HIS TEETH XD As she leaves the villa, she looks at her test, and now shakes her head and throws it in her purse determined to throw it into the shredder in her dental hygienist's office. But because of another door she dodges one of the 2 stupid henchmen opened brutally and some cold reproaches she gives them, she doesn't see as she jumped and that she had carelessly put it on the edge of the open purse on the first place it that it fell on the floor, and she leaves. Hammerhead, after having dressed up sees birds and joy everywhere and even HUGS Hoof and Mouth because life is beautiful, but then he finds that curious pile of paper he wondered about. He takes it and opens it, and progressively, his expression goes from curious to angry and hurt. Hoof and Mouth are ready for another hug but he pushes them away "OUT OF MY WAY IDIOTS"

At her work she sees with horror the test is not in the purse, and she panics at the idea of it having fallen down in the house. She abandons the poor patient with his open mouth (legends say he is still waiting) and she goes home, to find her belongings packed up with a letter "I know you want to betray us for FOWL. Never dare to come back or I will rip off your guts the same was you ripped off my heart. Hammerhead" She understands what happened, is shocked, and sits with her head in her hand, with some silent tears running. Meanwhile, heartbroken Hammerhead is on a meeting in which some of his men bring him one who told rival gangs about them, so he is so angry because of his heart pain he FUCKING BREAKS HIS NECK, giving an example of not fucking with him at least for the days to come. Later, meanwhile, Clovis is going back to her former home with her suitcases when she hears some guys at the bus station talking about the police who finally found a way to find that mysterious gang that makes themself look for furniture, and are calling on Gizmoduck (and Darkwing duck who insisted to follow). Her ears twitch and she runs to where the lair is dropping her suitcases on the sidewalk. After they had dropped the body in the ocean, one of Hammerhead's men is talking to him (Hammearhead is only half listening he's too sad) about a painting that could be sold as a copy while it is the original one they stole, when Gizmoduck and Darkwing Duck break through. PANIIIIIC ! Once again a comical fight ensures but all the criminals and Hammerhead too are scared of Gizmoduck (DARKWING DUCK MAAAD) and he panics a bit and drops his gun. He is the last one to remain on his feet... But Clovis comes from behind and uses 2 tasers, one on DW and one that shortcircuits Gizmoduck, and they are are almost dead lol so she drags the goat out. He is furious to see her here and yells at her why she came back and betray him, and she explains him it was not recent , that it was at first when she hated him and there was Steelbeak (WHICH DRIVES HIM EVEN MORE MAD) so they argue for minutes before she realizes he is repeating the same stuff, so she remarks that and he grumpily mumbles "Because whatcha sayin' made sense after some explanations but I don't want to sound as if I was in the wrong ok ?..." She rolls her eyes with a smirk, reassured to see he could believe her, so she tells him she is very happy to be with him and doesn’t want to be on FOWL anymore, she just needs to be here for his gang to make it work better or it would be lost with him alone at its head, she jokes. It softens him up and makes him smirk and stick out his chest "Oh we were good y'know we existed before you, in fact we found a painting-" It starts to burn after one of Gizmoduck's short circuit's spark reached it "...not..." So they awkwardly stand there. "...and now ?" "...I dunno. Did you move out ?" "Oh no it reminds me I abandonned my luggage in the street !" "[HUGE LAUGH] Don't worry babes if some thief came by I'd be delighted to stuff him with bullets" and they rush, meanwhile the 2 superheroes conclude the investigation should go further as they have a mysterious spy whose face they didn't see who has a secret weapon lol

3 years later, Hammerhead (who has a wedding ring) is bored in a cell, laying on a "bed" looking mindlessly at a photo of Clovis in lingerie (he probably has it for the times he is far from her) when a cop opens the door "Ye're lucky, Hammerhead, yer wife paid the caution on time" So he goes out, and Clovis is waiting next to her car, with a wedding ring too, her eternal emotionless look on her face but also a 6-months-pregnancy belly. They kiss, he insists to drive because she is pregnant, then after some minutes on the road he starts to be angry again "Well ya took your time to pay, ya know dat ? One week of waiting ! The trial was in 2 days I would have rotten in a big house again if ya had been late !" "Oh please, I didn't get myself caught after having robbed a can of chili con carne" "For the last time it was Darkwing Duck who put it in my pocket to have me imprisonned with no other pretext !" "Well you will try not to be framed so easily, you know cautions can't be overused" "Siiiigh I know I know." Silence, then he chuckles. She is surprised and asks him why, he says it's because it looks like the belly had gotten bigger in only one week, touching it while driving and not leaving his eyes from the road. She says "Oh by the way I went for an echography. You won the bet." "What bet ?" "It's a goat, I owe you $20" "YEEEES !" Shit eating grin of victory she rolls eyes but secretly is amused. "Also it's a girl" "Ah ? Well guess we will call her as ya wanted if it was a girl, Chloe right ?" "Right."
