This is photo of my good friend. She is a near professional ballerina, and she is currently jumping on the pier. I have cut out the little bit of the pier that was left at the bottom but when you see the pier it is quite evident that she has jumped about 4.5 feet in the air, and i don't mean thats where her head is, i mean thats where the bottom of her foot is! Anyways, this is probably one of my favorite pics of the year, I still have a long way to go with photography but i think i am getting better, well at least i hope i am
. There has been very little post-production work done here, just some cropping, contrast/lightness/saturation enchancement and a little bit of colour balance changing. I wish i could see her face more and I also was going to try and move the boat ever a biut however because her foot is obsuring the back i don't want to have to recreate that back half of the boat. Anyways, as always full view always looks better, and comments always apreciated!ben

This might not be some well placed critique...but I have to tell...Every single time I look at her jumping..this photoraph makes me smile and feel light again! Today was one of these not so nice days...grey, heavy, you know. And The moment I went back here I actually felt better immediately. so thank you for sharing

It seems as if she was flying. Very talented young lady and you are too, for taking such a wonderful picture.
The blue tone is appealing to the eye. Simple yet magnificient.

lol thanks, ya she can jump pretty high but the fact that the ground was cropped out makes it somewhat decieveing.

That photo is great! A way better than the other one! That boat behind her is a great touch for the picture, and it gives it more style! Definently, you're getting better!

To be honest, all I can say is this photo is so cool.
But I am not sure if I'd rather the boat in or out of the photo and the full size version is a little bit grainy.
None the less, its a great photo.
