The knocking kept coming from the closet as I approached. There was no reason to be alarmed, but I couldn't help feeling anxious about this. I think Snaps got tired of me slowly making it across the room because she just snapped her fingers and the door flew off of its hinges.
Standing inside was a kind of frightened looking boy that looked to be a little older than me. He had dark blue hair that reached his shoulders. I didn't really have any reaction, besides just standing there, so he spoke first. "Hello Fire streak. I finally found you." He said with a grin.
"And who would you be," I said some flames coming off me.
"Cool down little bro I don't mean any harm. I guess if this is a bad time I will go."
I settled a little, "No you can stay. It's just after all this running I'm highly suspicious of everyone."
"Then what about her. You didn't go off on her and for all you know she could have been brought here to snap you out of existence."
"O really?" she said. "If I wanted to snap him out of existence I would do it like this." She snapped and the shelf behind him exploded, but he disappeared.
"You'll have to try harder than that to get me Miss Ginger." He said as he came up from the other side of the room.
"What just happened?" I said royally confused.
"He's your brother Fire streak. He has the ability to transport himself any where he wants to. "
I looked at him. He did look a little like me, but I never knew that I had any brothers at all. I only had Katie as a sister. "Speaking of brothers; where's Katie?"
"Wow the first time you see one of your brothers and all you can say is; where's Katie?"
"I'm sorry, but I haven't seen her since I was in the hospital. I missed two years of her life and I don't even know where she is or how she is doing. Please brother will you help me?"
"I will on one condition."
"Anything"
"You shouldn't have said that," said snaps.
"You need to go to school. Also you have to meet Mom and Dad. There are a little worried for you since you went on the run."
"I can understand that, but do I have to."
"It's the only way you can see Katie without me getting in trouble."
"Fine," I said reluctantly.
"Well I guess my part in this is over. Remember your end of the deal Ronald." She then snapped her fingers and turned into a white looking peace of cloth that flew out the window.
"That was interesting," said Ronald. "Well let us go see the family."
Suddenly I was inside the house more than a block away. I was standing in the living room and I could hear that someone else was in the kitchen. I looked at Ron and he just sat down and gave me a head nod to go and check it out. Standing in the kitchen was two people I hadn't seen in years.
I ran up and took a long look at them and for a moment they didn't see me. Then dad with his wondering eyes saw me standing there. He stood up and my Mom looked up from what she was looking at. She said, "Henry what is it," then she looked at me. Tears filled her eyes and she ran at me embracing me in a tight hug. I tried to squirm out of it, but she wouldn't let go.
Finally Ron walked in and teleported me away a few inches. Mom looked over at him as she realized that I was gone and gave him a death look. "I told you Ronald not to use your powers inside the house, especially on dearly lost family members."
Then they looked back at me. I think I got off easy with this since Mom was so emotional, but it could have been worse. "Sam I think it's about time for me to tell you why we never told you about this life."
We sat down at the table and we talked for what had to have been a good hour. We talked on everything from the events leading them up to deciding not to tell Katie and me about our brothers and taking us out to the country. She revealed that every time that Dad left he always checked in on this house and that Mom would occasionally use Ronald to go from house to house in the morning. So while we were out doing chores she was out here. About the time where we got up to when I got out of the hospital and they said what they thought happened I just stopped them.
They had no idea what was going on and I don't think I was going to explain so I asked Ronald, "Can we just see my bed room. I want to be by myself at the moment."
Ronald understood and walked me upstairs to a room covered in blue. Everything was covered in this blue film that I found out was fire proof. Evidently they made it once they found out I could cast fire. That got me thinking about the house so I asked Ron, "So can I see the rest of the house?"
"You could, but it might be difficult."
"Why?"
"Well see our house isn't on of those normal houses. Instead it seems that it accommodates those who live in it. So while no one is here there isn't much here. The only ones here besides me your mom and dad is maybe Erick." He then took me down the hall and threw one of the doors into a room filled with books.
Sitting in the middle of the room was a boy about my size with brown hair. He didn't bother to look up from the book he was reading about history when he said, "I see Fire streak is finally here."
"Yes mister know it all, he is here. Speaking of which shouldn't you not be here?"
"I got kicked out again for knowing too much about the teacher and his subject."
"So what exactly is your power Erick?" I said.
He stood up. "Well I would answer that, but I already did seven seconds from now. See I'm a time traveler of sorts. I can manipulate the time stream to allow me to see events as they happen."
"Okay, so can you tell me what will happen?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because that would change the future and while that might be nice I have no idea what could happen. Now if you don't mind I need to get back to what I was doing."
So we left as instructed. "Is that my only other brother?"
"No, but I'm not sure just how many we have. You'll meet them all eventually."
I walked back to my room to think. Ron had told me that Katie didn't have any powers yet, but since she now knew about the Totorian world she was allowed to live here, but she still went to school in a human school. He even told me the location, but he wouldn't take me there since he said he had something important to do.
I went out early before Katie was to come home to find her school and walk home with her. As I walked I saw that I crossed the green line to get to her school. I was a little worried at first, but no one seemed to care about me as I walked. If anything no one even noticed me.
As I walked down the avenue to her school I decided to walk through an alley to make a nice shortcut to the school. It was as I went to the middle that something happened. I tripped something and water started to spray at me from all angles. I had no time to react and before I knew it I was on the ground cold and weak with only the look of a few men looking down at me.
