Hello! Lately I've seen a lot of amazing artists make petite and elegant cherry blossom, or sakura, charms. I decided to try my hand at it too! I used rose quartz clay to give that soft, shimmery look that petals naturally have. The center is made of glod microbeads and I used chalk pastels to shade. I absolutely love cherry blossoms and anything pink! So seeing this has made my day! 
It’s a simple, yet very detailed design that you did very well - especially on such a small scale!!. I really like the details you added to the petals! The tiny gold beads was a great addition to the piece. Keeping the structure of the design symmetrical for the petals and beads while the little creases and shadows are different on each petal was a great way to strike a nice balance and keep it from looking bland. Again, to put these details on such a small item is very impressive!! I checked out the link with more pictures and I just love the different designs for the cherry blossoms!

Personally I enjoy everything to do with Japan, and the cherry blossom being the symbol of Japan is something I would consider buying. I think the charm is very well done, as I tried myself to make some before, I can see the craftsmanship. What I would like to see is the view of the back, so I can better understand the fastening on it. Also the photograph has an odd blue tint that could be removed. Some people use coins as a good way of showing the size of the bead, as people's hands differ in size.

This is a lovely charm, perfect to add to a bracelet or necklace. I could even see it as part of a dangle earring.
I think what I like best about this project is how realistic it looks. If it didn't have the attachment, I'd never know it's not a real cherry blossom. The color and shape are exactly what I'd expect to see on each petal. The texture is also like what you'd see on an actual flower.
As others have remarked, it's impressive that you were able to make such a precise replica of a cherry blossom at such a small scale. I, as many others, would have difficulty. Think of that ability as a gift.

Thank you! To be honest, the reason I make charms and miniatures is because I am terrible making things that are big! I tried sculpting a bust once (one that was about 12in tall), and it turned out terrible.
