Description "... for God's sake, Sherlock, stop shaking ash on my head!"

A young-ish Mycroft Holmes and even younger Sherlock.

My list of things I need to practise drawing increases. Newest addition: large people. I used Stephen Fry as a ref for Mycroft. A pic from the time he still had the mass required for Mycroft.

And... ah, nothing much to say. Insert the usual "I don't like this and this and this" here.

Characters (C) Conan Doyle.

Wow! What a beautiful picture! I think I know what will be my tattoo on my back! With your permission, of course!

Well, if you really want to, then go ahead... but think about it carefully - this is not the greatest drawing out there. There is much wrong with it. Rather have the tattoo artist make their own version of this? With correct anatomy and shading and all? I can't say I'd recommend making a tattoo out of this...

But thank you very much.

Finally, someone's depicting Mycroft as being portly. Every SH character in the most recent incarnations has been whittled down to a nub, and to my recollection, neither Mycroft OR Watson were thin people.

Thanks! I try to draw them as they're described.

Actually, Watson was thin, at least at the time he returned to London from the war. Watson's friend Stamford, when seeing him after a long while, says to him "You are as thin as a lath and as brown as a nut." He probably gained weight afterwards, though. After marrying, I should think.

Poor Mycroft, if they weren't taking a picture he probably would be killing him.
LOVELY JOB!

Holmes: You must understand the complexity of our relationship, Watson; Like any younger brother, I suppose, I fluctuate between worshipping the ground upon which Mycroft walks and wanting to kill him in the most painful way imaginable.

Watson: I had a brother myself, Holmes. I know EXACTLY what you mean.

I KNEW Mycroft looked had to be modeled after Stephen Fry! I could tell from the thumbnail. I've always thought he would make a perfect Mycroft. He's already kind of a genius.

Great picture, by the way! Utterly adorable, in fact.

I think its pretty neat, but the title makes me think of a Doctor Who episode, "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood". "Brother of mine..." *shudder*

Oh? I haven't seen those episodes, so I dunno...
