I think a few explanations are in order.The picture itself: Young Ardeth and Rick ready to fight some Temple guards in an alley. With random crates. 'Cos aren't there always random crates in such scenes, to be knocked over?
Also, isn't young Ardeth just adorable, even with the "One-step-closer-and-you're-all-dead" expression?
The story: This is based on a great Mummy fanfic called "Rite of Passage" by Shade Salogel and Sulerina. In the story, Ardeth and Rick meet as teenagers - cue adventure! Mummy fans, do read it. Very exciting. Offers valid explanations to certain plot holes in the movies.
As you will notice, if you read the first lines of the story described above, certain elements of it are based on Xanthia Morgan's "Brother of My Soul" which is absolutely amazing and Mummy fans should love it.

great picture! it looks very...believable. i like how the one guy is thin and lanky and the other a bit more filled out. the contrast is cool somehow. and the detailing in the clothes and hair and faces is great, and the brown-haired dude's expression is really drawing me in somehow...making me want to know the story even though i've never seen those movies or know anything about them XD and as i've said before, great backgrounds!

D'aww... aren't they cute in their youthful 'enthusiasm', for lack of a better word, since Ardeth doesn't exactly look enthusiastic. 
I'll be reading those fanfictions now!
