Description COMMENT. PLEASE. GIVE ME SOME ADVICE--TELL ME HOW YOU WOULD PROCEED. THIS IS MY DRAWING AND ALL, SURE, BUT I WANT INPUT. I'M GRINDING IN 2ND GEAR RIGHT NOW, I NEED TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT I'M NOT SURE WHAT EXIT RAMP TO TAKE. GIVE ME SOME HINTS, POINTERS, PHOTOSHOP SHORTCUTS. PLEASE. THANKS.

When I first put this bit up (Byronos WIP), I wondered if uploading my works in progress would give me incentive to draw more often.

Apparently not.

Anywho, I'm uploading this now because I'm going to try drawing again, and am going to start from basics; sketches, rather than fully rendered/finished works (or at least as finished as I make'em).

This definitely means more uploads, but at lower quality. Expect a drop in anatomy quality as well, because usually half the time spent on these works is me drawing, erasing, and re-drawing to get everything as right as I can--and then realizing that all the extra drawing just made it worse, heheh.

The hair textures look amazing. Especially the way the hair contours to the musculature and where the highlights appear really give the figure a solid-looking form. A "cracked, leathery" texture on his muzzle might go a long way in making it blend better with the rest of the drawing. Also, black line around the red part of the eyeball should probably go. Awesome WIP. I'm gonna have Altered Beast nightmares now.

Ha, sleep well, heheh, but cheers for the critique! I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to finishing this one, but even with the recent works I've been doing, I'm encountering similar situations, and I'll definitely keep my eyes open as to when I can apply those details that you mention! Thanks!!

Glad to see the highlights now added since the previous version.
Can see the arms and muscles better now.

I do find the white of the eye to stand out quite a bit.
However that's just me.

But seriously a mighty find job.
Look forward to seeing the finished artwork.

Yessssssssss, they do really stand out. Was thinking that every time I saw them, meant to darken them or sommat. Another problem I'm having is detail--I do the eyes really up-close and personal, and make them look pretty sharp, while hair and stuff tends to come out blurry. Oooh, I just need to keep at it and figure out how to take my time with this stuff.

My biggest flaw is I always want immediate results--and that's not how drawing works, heheh. Cheers for the comment though!

I'm kind of thinking they're too narrow from the side, or maybe too far forward--but maybe that's just because his back juts out so far. Anywho, cheers for the comment!

It's looking a lot better now. If I may, I'd recommend trying to get the fur on his arms to stand out more

Yeeeeah, think the lineart is hiding the hair details. If I get rid of it, the hair becomes more jagged and apparent, but when I apply my line art, the edges lose that jagged hair-like style...meh, just need to improve my style and find a source of patience.
