2 legends. One of the most famous blues singers in history is Muddy Waters (ca.1914-1983). He became the founder of a new type of urban blues, the 'Chicago Blues'. Waters influenced numerous artists and bands, such as Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970), Paul Butterfield (1942-1987), Bo Diddley (1928-2008), Eric Clapton (1945), The Rolling Stones , Led Zeppelin and ofcourse Rory Gallagher.

I have never seen Rory on stage. I am a real wanderer in the music world and thanks to a cover band I discovered his music and who he was. He immediately inspired me because I also draw portraits and it brought me more. It seemed I got to know him through the many stories and portraits I drew of him. The ball kept rolling. I drew him together with other legends such as his own idol Muddy Waters. His music is now a permanent fixture with us. my husband saw him on pinkpop in 1974. in 2018 we topped it off by going to Ballyshannon. I hope to keep his music alive through my portraits.
