A remake of the "John Wick: Chapter 2" Japanese movie poster. Original movie poster image here: sta.sh/0jibq2yajo9
Due to the slight cartoon-ish looks of the John Wick model from Fortnite Battle Royale I used for this work, I altered a bit the looks of the original poster to pretend this is the movie poster for an anime series based on the movie. My knowledge of Japanese is essentially non-existing, but アニメシリーズ is actually supposed to mean "The anime series" (and if I'm wrong, maybe someone fluent in Japanese will be kind enough to correct me... ).
Overall, I'm not terribly satisfied with how this came out... Maybe I shouldn't complain, since this was actually my third attempt at coming up with something decent to submit for the competition.
First attempt was a remake of the Dragon Age II cover art, replacing those hazy shadows behind Hawke with silhouettes of the companions and other relevant characters, but I was unhappy with how that looked. The second attempt was based on the same John Wick movie poster, except that instead of Baba Yaga himself I planned to have everyone's favorite assassin from the Mass Effect series: Thane Krios! Alas, I wasn't satisfied with how that came out either, so that how I ended up making this very picture...
