Description Chinese rice terraces, also known as "The Dragon's Backbone", are stunning feats of human engineering that date back more than 1,300 years. Located in southern China, the terraces were created by the Zhuang and Yao minorities to cultivate rice in the steep, hilly terrain. These terraces, with their flowing curves and mesmerizing beauty, attract tourists from all over the world.
