AT the top of Sage Hill is the House, an old Victorian manor that has seen decades of refurbish and care. It is said that the House is cursed, and those who cross its threshold become lost in its vast interior, never to return. Our host, the Lady Caris, has recently inherited the House and its curse. To break the curse, she must give it away, but not to just anyone. The House must go to someone worthy of its legacy. The House demands a strong and intelligent master, or it will devour them, heart and soul.
To find such a person, Lady Caris is throwing a four-day dinner party, a massive banquet for sixteen guests. There will be games, little challenges where winners must prove themselves capable of exerting their power and influence over the House itself. Those who fail, will be escorted off the premises. Guests are invited to stay for four nights at a massive haunted mansion. The last person standing, who is not sent away by the host, wins ownership of the mansion and all of its ghosts and secrets, particularly access to an extensive L-space archive of All Knowledge, practical and magical.
But some guests should be lucky enough to get away with their lives...

OCTs, or ‘Original Character Tournaments’ are year-long, collaborative art events held on Deviantart, Twitter, or Discord, in which you write and portray your own original characters against other people's characters in a collaborative story. To put it simply, it is a cross between an art competition and a storytelling contest. The best story and art will determine the winner. For this OCT, there will be a total of four rounds in a bracket elimination system. 16 Contestants will be selected for competition.
Usually these contests are combat-oriented, but not so for BANQUET OCT. Soft skills will be valued over combat skills, though this does not entirely exclude physical or magical prowess. This OCT will be for mostly experienced creators, but newbies are still welcome.
