LOL well I actually just stopped uploading stuff, but I love browsing.
When I find gems like this, it reminds me that I keep drawing only people. I really should start modifying the figure somehow.
I should also dive into the world of still lives again. (still lifes? We know what I mean!)

Lmao yeah
Go for it fam! Whatever you do, make sure it's what makes you happy. I know all too well what it's like dragging myself through some bullshit studies that did absolutely nothing for me, just for the sake of "doing what artists do"

You don't think there's always something to be gained from studies? Especially with art, everything relates to it.
Apparently, you've studied motion and anatomy and made it what you want it to be. Your faun looks great :]

Thanks fam! By 'bullshit studies' I mean still life studies and landscapes. Don't get me wrong, they're certainly worth while, but not for me. They only made me miserable. I found that what works for me is anatomy and pretty much anything human lol

Funny you say that. I often comment on how certain figure drawings remind me of a bowl of fruit,
or how a landscape photo looks like a reclining nude. The shapes, textures, shadows, perspectives, etc. can all interrelate.
But I was thinking in even broader terms, like how mathematics or junior high home ec class relate to art too :]

I guess there's something to learn from everything, even the things you don't really want to put yourself through learning lol

Truer words have never been spoken. I draw a lot more often and more freely when I give myself permission to not show anyone anything. And then spring the decision to show some of the better sketches on myself, heh.

I used to have sketchbooks, but I already finished all of them and for some reason I can't find sketchbooks that aren't expensive as hell anymore
I saw a tutorial on how to make your own, but damn am I bad at crafts
anyways
I liked this faun and his fluffy neck
