Description color slide photography, multiple exposure
"If the painter wishes to see beauties to faall in love with, it is in his power to bring them forth, and if he wants to see monstrous things that frighten or are foolish or laughable or indeed to be pittied, he is their Lord and God." Leonardo Da Vinci

This is a double image on one color slide. First I took the shots of the trees and sky, then I rolled back the film in the old manual Minolta, then I reshot the film of the "goddess" (myself, lol) using a tripod and preset timer. The original shot was very blue so I set the image to contrast mode while scanning it into Adobi Photoshop.

is this actual real world print manipulation in a darkroom? you said slide manipulation so I was just wondering well even if it were a digitally manipulated image I would have the same thing to say, its a wonderful and timeless blend of sillhouette sky and art, emotionally it leaves me in a somewhat dark place I would guess, not dark as in "evil" dark, dark as in a sad lost in a hard dark and sorrow filled eve sorta sad, yet it also portrays a being watched over by benevolence in a sorta way, it really expressive in many directions, and I love the idea, that I have in my head, that you actually did this in a dark room, it definitely adds to the creative and putting forth of one's artistic and heartfelt emotions, wonderfully done, I do think Da Vinci would be pleased with the marrying of his work in a simple sillhoutte of sky and trees, the noise is a wonderful mask of the marrying betwixt the 2 as well, I very much enjoy this piece of work, its what I would term worthy of "wall art" and I don't see a lot of wonderful work hanging on my walls,
kindest regards,
joe

Thanks so much for your comments on the image. I always try to create a mood, and I like your interpreation of my photo. I'm thinking of entering this photo in a local photography competition, if the print company can manage the contrasted image from the original negative. I'm going to add some notes to this photograph so others will know how it's done. Thanks for giving me the idea.

Peace to you always,
Beth
