Description
Anyone who has done this on a hilltop on a windy day will know how great it feels! Challenging your friends to see who can lean more weight into the wind without falling forwards... or being blown over backwards, if it's strong enough! This is my latest piece and I'm super happy with it, it really captured exactly what I hoped it would.Acrylics on canvas, 18x24". Prints available here: [link]

Reminds me of the time my mother, dad, my little brother and I (somewhere between 8 and 10) were driving back from hiking in some hills outside Ottawa. A storm was coming, and the wind was so bad we couldn't drive. So we pulled over at a lookout point and watched the opaque sheet of rain move closer. On several occasions, as I held on the the railing at the edge of the cliff, I felt my feel almost being lifted off the ground. Scary, to be sure, but exhilarating!
I'd love to experience that again sometime. Thanks extra for reminding me of the happy memories!

I got a sensation of delightful chills looking at this.
I remember doing this on the Cape of the Smokey's in Tennesee when I was twelve years old, Scaring my brother silly after giving him a slight nudge forward while he tried to outstage me..
Ah memories
The detail is just fantastic and let's the imagination soar with the wind depicted in it; Such wonderful emotion.. Love it.
